When our customer needed to backlight their decorative doorsill applique, they teamed up Fiberoptic for a solution.  Our patented fiber optic guide technology was selected due to its ultra-thin, fiber optic guide construction and the ability to withstand a variety of environmental conditions without deterioration.

Due to specific automotive requirements, the fiber optic guide technology was also selected due to its capability to remote the LED light source away from the doorsill pocket well.  The fiber optic guide technology is also heat and EMI-free and provides superior brightness, uniformity, and longer life compared to other types of lighting technologies.
